When Corrine was born, her mother says she was the baby she always dreamed and prayed for. She was so beautiful the nurses would come in just to look at her because she resembled a doll. Despite having such a beautiful little girl, her parents and the doctors noticed Corrine appeared to be in pain and would not stop crying in spite of all efforts made. She would unfortunately be diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease as a newborn, a disease she battled with her whole life and one she eventually succumbed to.
Corrine along with her little Sister Nicole who also suffers from the disease, would spend most of their lives in and out of the hospital. She endured numerous surgeries, I.V. medications and blood transfusions. She was always in pain, but Corrine never let that stop her. She was an advocate for Sickle Cell Disease and demanded equal treatment for patients like her. Corrine was the most kindest, most loving, and most giving person. Her heart was so pure and she always found the good in people. She was so talented, from baking to sewing, singing and modeling; Corrine did it all. Corrine did not have a shy bone in her body and was always ready to go on the stage to put on a show. Corrine was unapologetically herself, and did not care what others thought of her. She was truly admirable.
Corrine was a gamer and an animal lover. She loved all types of animals especially her dog Speckles who she leaves behind. She also leaves behind the love of her life, her fiancee' Tae Rhee. They spent eight wonderful years together, and together they traveled the world. They visited Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Jamaica just to name of the few places they've been. Corrine truly lived a life most weren't able to live, and for that we are beyond grateful.
Corrine leaves to cherish her memories her parents Floyd and Evon Black. Grandmother; Jacqueline Crowder. Siblings; Mark Haughton, Negus Haughton, Marsha Campbell, Desirae Bennett, and Nicole Black. Five nieces and five nephews, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who miss her dearly.
Psalm 49:15 -"But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, For He shall receive me."
