David Allen Wheeler

David attended local schools, and was a longtime employee at Stanadyne. He cherished his 56’ Packard, attending car shows, especially Tri Town Cruisers and Cruisin’ on Main. He loved old cars and listening to Acoustic Sunday on the radio. He was a member of the Packard Association of America. David was a good hearted man and a caring father, brother and son.

David will be dearly missed by his children; Jared L. Wheeler and Samantha Wheeler, both of East Hartford, his granddaughter Emma Wheeler, sister Claudette “Charlie” Ann Kurys of Coventry, nephew Cazmir Kurys, his father and step-mother Samuel and Denise Wheeler.

Calling hours will be Thursday, June 29, 2017, 12-3pm, with a Celebration of Life to follow immediately at 3pm, all to be held at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford.
