Edward R. Bolling

Edward R. Bolling Sr., 77, of East Hartford, beloved husband of Janet (Carter) Bolling, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 1, 1934, in Richmond, VA to the late Everett and Ella Bolling. He retired from Waste Management after 45 years of employment. Edward was a loving husband and father and was devoted to his family. He also enjoyed sports and good conversation.

In addition to his wife Janet of 58 years, Edward is survived by his sons Edward Bolling Jr. (Jennifer) of Hartford, Keith Muhammad (Marcella) of Windsor, his daughter Melissa Bolling of Glastonbury. His sister Gloria Jean Bell (Edward), his brother Everett “Tojo” Bolling of East Hartford, sister in law Frances Carter of Hartford, grandchildren Racquel Bolling, Derrick Perkins, Kila Bolling, Nadiyah Bolling, Edward Bolling III, Keith Bolling Jr., Kareem Bolling, Brandi Bolling, Danielle Bolling, Aminah Muhammad, Fifteen Great Grandchildren, 3 Great- Great Grandchildren, favorite aunt Mary Bolling, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughters Crystal and Stephanie Bolling, grandsons Jahan Bolling Sr. and Koran Bolling Sr., and sister Marlene Jernigan.

Funeral services will be held on September 9, 2011 at 11am at Victory Cathedral, 185 Bellevue Street Hartford. Calling hour is at 10am. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in East Hartford, CT.
