Eleanor Mae Foley

Eleanor was a loving mother and grandmother, devoted to her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with them. She also enjoyed the beach, going out with friends and having a good time with whatever she was doing. Eleanor was known as an avid Red Sox fan and was one of the first inductees into then East Catholic Sports Hall of Fame. Eleanor was employed by the Glastonbury public school system as a Teacher’s Aide. She believed in giving her time with others and volunteered at the Children’s Services of Hartford and at Hartford Hospital.

Eleanor is survived by her sons; Terry D. Foley and his wife Sandra of Amston, CT and Brian Foley and his wife Mary Beth of Wakefield, MA, 3 grandchildren; Sarah Geosits and her husband James of Wyomissing, PA. and Allison and Meagan Foley, both of Amston.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Eleanor is predeceased by her son Thomas Foley Jr.

Friends and family are invited to a period of visitation on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 8:30-9:30am at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tnpk., Glastonbury, CT 06033. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am in St. Paul’s Church 2577 Main St., Glastonbury, with burial to conclude services in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.
