Elizabeth Byng

Elizabeth Byng, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2021 at the age of 79. She was born in St. James, Trinidad and was raised in Mason Hall, Tobago. Elizabeth resided in East Hartford, CT for the past 40 years.

Elizabeth served GOD as devout Catholic, and worked as a professional beautician and a certified nurse’s assistant.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents, Rachel and Vernon; five sisters Jean, Agatha, Natalie, Neressia, and Ursula; three brothers Maxim, Vernon, and Ken; two nieces Jeanna and Jean, and her nephew Anthony.

Elizabeth is survived by four talented sons, Kelly (Merchant Marine), Kevin (Heavy Equipment Operator), George (Telecom Line Tech), and Brent (Military Officer); her six beautiful grandchildren Kelly, Jessie, Cecily, Elena, Brent II, and Madyson; four adoring siblings, Ruth, Cornelius, Angela, and Rita; and many special nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Elizabeth’s medical team throughout her courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Thank you for treating Elizabeth with dignity, respect, and genuine care.

Elizabeth was kind to everyone she met, and blessed those she loved with her generosity and good will. Elizabeth is now at rest and will be truly missed by all who knew her. The best ways to honor Elizabeth is by being kind to one another, forgive each other (Ephesians 4:32), and to pray constantly (Matthew 6:6).

Calling Hours will be held Saturday May 29, 2021 from 9:30am to 12:00pm at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford, CT. 06108. Funeral Home Service immediately following at 12:00pm at Newkirk and Whitney.
