

Francis Arthur Carberry Sr. 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 21, 2017. He was born in Norwich, a son of Francis A. and Beatrice (Moore) Carberry. He was a longtime communicant at St. Christopher Church in East Hartford, CT. After serving in the Army in WWII, he worked at Royal Typewriter in Hartford before becoming the Beloved “Mr. C” in the East Hartford School System. He was predeceased by the love of his life 27 years ago, his loving wife of 43 years, Aileen; and more recently by his brother, Thomas. His kindness, laughter and good nature will be missed by all who knew him. He leaves two sons, Frank Jr. and his wife Linda of East Hampton, and Robert and his wife Joan of Goffstown, NH. and his daughter, Mary Murphy of Colchester. Francis also had four grandchildren, Erica and Sarah Carberry and Nicholas and Brianna Murphy, one great grandson, Sammy Herrera, and several nieces, nephews and many, many dear friends. Funeral services are Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 9AM from the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial 10AM at St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer St., burial will follow with military honors in Hillside Cemetery, Veterans Field, all in East Hartford.
