

George Emile Pelletier, 86, of East Hartford, died January 1, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. George was born in Portage Lake, Maine, a son of the late Joseph O'Neil and Mary Ann (Nadeau) Pelletier. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and a World War II Navy Veteran. He worked for Wonder Bread for 25 years and after his retirement he worked for several years at Southern Auto Auction.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marie "Tina" (Santangelo) Pelletier, three daughters, Susan M. Patria of South Windsor, Angela Jalbert of Charlestown, RI and her partner Brian Bos and Georgina "Gigi" Philbin and her husband Robert of Landsdale, PA, one sister Aurora Sinclair and her husband Larry of California, six grandchildren Laurie Abo and her husband Mark, Michael Patria and his wife Karla, Jessica Jalbert, Nicole Reynolds and her husband Will, Gina Toro and her husband Matthew and Lisa Philbin, two great-grandchildren Landon Emile Abo and Leah Grace Toro and several nieces and nephews and his son in law Joseph Patria of East Hartford. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers and sister, Camile Patrick Pelletier, Joseph O'Neil Pelletier, Jeanine Marie Pelletier and Lionel Daniel Pelletier.
Funeral services will be Monday January 6th at 9AM from the Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial 10 AM in Our Lady of Peace Church 370 May Rd., burial with military honors will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery Veterans Field, all in East Hartford. Visiting hours at the funeral home are Sunday from 4-7PM.
