Geraldine "Geri" (Ridolfo) Stelmach passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, in Meriden, CT, at the age of 99. Born on November 15, 1925, in Hartford, CT, she was the daughter of the late James Ridolfo Sr. and Carmella (Villano) Ridolfo of Wilson, CT. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Stelmach, a dedicated detective for the Hartford Police Department.
Geri spent most of her life in East Hartford, CT, where she was a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Church. She retired from Aetna and found joy in being an active member of the East Hartford Senior Center. Known for her love of bingo, singing, and dancing, she was a true social butterfly who even made local news a few times for her lively moves on the dance floor.
Geri was predeceased by her daughters, Linda S. Cantin and Donna Giorgetti, as well as her brother, James J. Ridolfo.
She leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Taylor Giorgetti of Farmington, CT, and Jayme Cantin and his wife, Megan, of Ellington, CT, along with her adored great-grandson, Joseph Cantin. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Brett Giorgetti of Manchester, CT; her niece, Brenda Phillips of Coventry, CT, and Brenda’s husband, Bob, and their sons, Josh and Kyle Phillips. Geri's longtime friend, Felicia Brown, and her dear friend and neighbor, Linda Masi, also held a special place in her heart.
Geri’s warmth, laughter, and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
