

He was born October 23, 1925 in East Hartford, to the Late Henry (Sr.) and Edna Limburg. He lived his entire life in East Hartford and spent the last 25 winters in Florida with his wife and many special friends. He was a World War II Veteran, serving in the U.S.S. Cubera Isle AR67 in the South Pacific for 2 ½ years in New Guinea and Philippines Island. He then worked for the Travelers Insurance Company and retired after 39 dedicated years.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Marilyn Limburg and his son-in-law Edward T. Fergus, Jr. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Debra Yannizze and her husband Michael Ceulemans of Barkhamsted, William Limburg of Anna Maria Island, FL, Linda Fergus of Norwalk, Diane Limburg –Neal and her husband Brian Neal of Bradenton, FL, and Donna Madsen and her husband David Madsen of Coventry. He will be profoundly missed by his grandchildren, Janice Wziontko of East Hartford, Nicole Perry and her husband Jon of East Windsor, Carlee Limburg of East Windsor, Shannon and Thomas Fergus of Norwalk, Connor and Kyle Madsen of Coventry and three very special great grandsons, Justin Wziontko of East Hartford, and Zachary and Logan Perry of East Windsor. He also leaves behind two sisters, Nathalie Limburg of Winchester and Jane Atkinson of Amelia Island, Florida, his sister-in-law Betty-Ann Perleoni and her husband Louis Perleoni of East Hartford, along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and great friends. We would like to give a special thank you to Angie Prasser for being a very dear friend to Hank and his family. We also give our heartfelt thanks to Ellen and the staff at The Village at Buckland Hills for all of their loving care they gave to our Hank over the last three years.
Family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, April 12th, from 4-7 at the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13th, at the Funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with burial immediately following at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Family and friends are welcome to gather at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the memory of Hank and Marilyn Limburg to the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
