

Ida Luz Rosario-Case “Chachi” 52, beloved wife of Todd Case and resident of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 15, 2011 at the Conklin Building of Hartford Hospital after her courageous battle with cancer with her loving family at her side. She was born in Dorado, Puerto Rico on August 5, 1955 daughter of the late Felicita Cardona and Concepcion Rosario. She was raised in Hartford graduating from Hartford High School in 1974. After high school she worked for over twenty years for Travelers Insurance and then began working for the State of CT in both the Department of Corrections and Education. She loved taking trips to the Casino and spending time with her family, getting together for parties but mostly cherished her time with her beloved grandchildren.
Along with her husband Todd and father Concepcion of Puerto Rico, she leaves her special friend Hector L. Rodriguez Sr., a daughter Natalie Rodriguez and son Hector L. Rodriguez, three grandchildren Brianna and Arianna Garay and Jaiden Rodriguez, brother Eric Rosario and his wife Kina all of East Hartford, sister Sara Rosario, brother Carlos Rosario both of Puerto Rico, Eric Rosario Jr. of Vernon, and special nieces Lourdes Rolon and Zoey Rosario, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited Tuesday June 21st at 9:30am to the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford followed by the funeral service at 11am. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. Calling hours are Monday June 20th from 5-8 pm at the funeral home
