Jacklyn E. Starks

Jacklyn E. Starks 65 of East Hartford passed away on Friday (Dec. 10, 2010) at Hartford Hospital. She was born August 19, 1945 in Culpeper, Virginia daughter of the late Thelma Starks. Jacklyn was employed by the City of Hartford at Buckley High School working as a Pool and Gymnasium Assistant for over eleven years retiring in 2005. She loved to play Bingo and spending as much time as she could with her beloved grandchildren.

Jacklyn leaves her two loving children Tammy Starks – Sivells and her husband Kevin of East Hartford, and her son Montrell Starks and his wife Jennifer Starks of Manchester: four cherished grandchildren Jourdan Campbell, Justin Strong, Kyra Starks, Jada Starks: and four siblings Charlene Burton of Bloomfield, Carol Harrison of Farmington, Alice Starks of Hartford, and Bruce Harrison of Georgia. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her brother Vincent Harrison of Georgia.

Family and friends are invited on Thursday (Dec. 16th) at 10 a.m. to the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, followed with an 11 a.m. Celebration of Jacklyn’s Life. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
