Jeanette Staron Hardy

Jeanette Staron Hardy, 84, longtime resident of East Hartford, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Dec. 21st., surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Nov 26, 1929, a daughter of the late Michael and Rose (Leniart) Staron. Jeanette was the beloved widow of Richard Hardy since his passing in 1988.

She graduated from Bulkeley High in 1947, and was employed by The Hartford Insurance Co., for 20 years. She was a corporate member of The Polish National Home in Hartford. She was a loving mother, sister and aunt devoted to her family. She enjoyed traveling, dancing and loved her cats. She will be most remembered for her great cooking and friendly manner.

Jeanette will be dearly missed by her son Henry F. Kazimer Jr., sisters Irene Webster and her husband Richard of Manchester, Rose Marie Salonen of Manchester, Sue Piazza and her husband Pat of Elmwood, brothers Michael Staron of Rocky Hill and Joe Staron of Wethersfield, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will begin Friday, Dec 27, at 9am at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10am in St. Mary Catholic Church, 15 Maplewood Dr., East Hartford. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. Calling hours will be Thursday, Dec 26, from 4-7pm at the funeral home
