Jeanne Maleh

Jeanne was born in Alexandria, Egypt on November 17, 1936 and was the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Katherine Athineos. She married the love of her life on February 24, 1956 and moved with her family to Brooklyn, New York in 1967.

She was the devoted wife of Dr. Jack D. Maleh, M.D. for 47 years and the loving mother of her daughter, Katie Kirkpatrick and her husband Steve of Magnolia, Delaware, her son, Paul Maleh and his wife Kim of Westwood, Massachusetts, and her daughter, Tammy Ford and her partner Matt Hunter of Avon, Connecticut. Doting Nona of her grandchildren, Jack Kirkpatrick and his wife Jessica, Jennifer Moore and her husband Josh, Nicole Moody and her husband Austin, Adam Maleh and his wife Ariel, Cody Ford and his wife Sierra, Alexa Ford and her partner Nick Trifari, DJ and Jaxon Ford and her great grandchildren, Payton Dennis, Natalie, Ellie, and Matthew Moore, and Dylan and Logan Moody and two more great grandbaby boys due in July to Adam and Ariel and Cody and Sierra. Nona experienced no greater joy than when she was with her grandchildren.

Jeanne had a unique ability to make everyone feel like the most important person in the world. As a result, most people who knew her affectionately called her Mom and Nona, and she loved them all unconditionally.

She was predeceased by her son, David Maleh, her husband Dr. Jack Maleh, and brother George Athineos.

Funeral service will be Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 12 noon at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford. Burial will follow at Green Cemetery, (Section C), Hubbard Street, Glastonbury. There are no calling hours.
