Joan Muskewit Berube, 81, of Manchester, formerly of Port Richey, Florida, beloved wife of the late Anthony R. Berube, passed away June 13, 2018. She was born Sept. 22, 1936, in Hartford, daughter of the late Harry & Bertha Muskewit. She was a loving wife and mother. She loved to go to the casino, cook, sew, knit and work on all kinds of craft projects. She had a spirited side that everyone loved. She also loved to spend time at Hudson Beach with her husband. One special moment is when she took a ride in her son, Tony’s, red corvette. She was employed at Kage Company and Manchester Dial a Ride in Manchester and Dollar General and Federal Suppliers Guide in Florida. She was a past member of the Manchester Emblem Club. Her proudest moment is when she received her GED in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Arlene LeRoy and husband, Fred of Manchester; daughter Sandra Bickford and husband Cliff of Chesterfield, VA; son Anthony and wife Nancy of Ellington and son David of Manchester; and her grandchildren, Joseph LeRoy, Benjamin LeRoy, Jacqueline LeRoy Wood, Alyssa Bickford, Ethan Bickford, Collin Berube and Katelin Berube and her great-grandchildren Alexander Wood, Grayson Wood, Landon LeRoy and Mia LeRoy. She is also survived by her sister, Diane Raymond of Florida. She was predeceased by her faithful and loving Pomerian, Bear Bear. We would like to thank the nurses, aides and staff at Manchester Manor for their excellent care and love for our Mother.
