

Joseph attended St. Theresa Primary School and Laborde Vocational School where he earned an agricultural degree. The family moved to the United States in 1985. Joseph was a quiet, solitary, private yet hardworking man known for his generosity towards his family and friends. A couple of years after the family moved to East Hartford from Haiti, it was Joseph who worked and saved his money and helped his mother purchase their first home. He worked for Metalology Processing in New Britain, Connecticut for many years. During his spare time, he loved to play dominoes with friends and family. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and nephew and will be missed greatly.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Dieudonne Boulay(2010) in Cayes, Haiti. Joseph is survived by his mother, Angette Boulay of Cayes, Haiti; brothers, Jules August Boulay (Yanick) of Port Lucie, Florida, Jean Claude Boulay (Martine) of Pembroke Pines, Florida; sisters, Georgette Calvier of Hartford, Connecticut, Jeanne Lazaire (Frantz) of E. Hartford, Connecticut; Marlene Boulay of Cayes, Haiti; Yolette Boulay of North Miami, Florida; Marie Claudie Boulay fiancé Joseph Victor) of West Palm Beach, Florida; Linda Boulay of Oakland Park, Florida; Jeanine Boulay of E. Hartford Connecticut; Aunts, Vernice Applebee (Thomas), Marie Ange Francious, Laudre Andre (George), and Illa Francious; nieces, Georgie Calvier, Alexis and Jasmine Anderson, Kalya, Nesly and Mia Boulay; nephews, Ude and JC Calvier and Karric Claytoday; cousins, Mario, Yvonne, Henry and Adrien Alexander and a host of friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Sunday, April 3, 2016 at 1pm at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford, CT. 06108.
