

NOVAK. Joseph Novak, 81 of East Hartford passed away on Oct. 9, 2010 at his home. He was born in Houtzdale, PA and moved to New York where he met and married his beloved wife Evelyn. They moved to Connecticut where they raised their family. Joseph served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He worked at Mellen, White and Palshaw in East Hartford as a mechanic for most of his life, later working at Kimberly Hall nursing home before retiring. He is predeceased by his wife Evelyn “Evie” who he missed beyond words. He is survived by his family Barbara and Carl Barnes of Windsor Locks, Joe Novak of Vernon, Edward Novak of Enfield and his step children Linda Ridings of North Carolina, Richard Moore and Jesse Moore both of South Carolina: 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited on Friday (Oct. 15th) to the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford at 11:30 a.m. with a Celebration of Joseph’s life at 12 Noon, followed by burial with Military honors in Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford.
