

Julia Victoria (Kaselinas) Chasse, 98, beloved wife of the late Claude Chasse and longtime resident of Glastonbury, passed away Monday, June 6th, 2011, at Riverside Health & Rehab in East Hartford. She was born in Lawrence, MA October 10th, 1912, daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Tamulewicz) Kaselinas.
Julie grew up in East Hartford and retired from P & W Aircraft. She and her late husband Claude were very hard working and built their own home in Glastonbury. After retirement they spent their time tinkering, gardening and never met a tag sale they didn’t like.
Julie is survived by her son Ronald and his wife Phyllis Shvonski of East Hartford; her grandchildren, Michael and Sheri Shvonski of Coventry, Lisa (Shvonski) Graugard of Manchester, Douglas Shvonski and his wife Melissa of Cape Cod; her great-grandchildren Alex Shvonski of MA and Ben Shvonski of Coventry, Stephanie (Graugard) Tassinari and her husband Matthew of Minot, ME, Matthew Graugard of Vernon, Paige and Hayden Shvonski of Cape Cod; her great-great granddaughter Olivia Tassinari of Minot, ME; her sister Mary (Kaselinas) Siemer of South Windsor and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Richard J Shvonski USMC MIA Korea, her first husband Albert J Shvonski and her siblings Josephine Phillips, Rose Dombroski, William Collins and Nellie, Victoria, Frank and Joseph Kaselinas.
Julie’s Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 13th, at 10am, at Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 12th from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.
