Lori was born on October 22, 1962, in Biloxi, Mississippi, at the USAF Hospital at Keesler Air Force Base. She later made her home in East Hartford, Connecticut, where she lived with her parents, George and Myrna Kinne.
Lori was truly one of a kind—eccentric in the most beautiful way. She had a deep love for nature and felt a special connection to wolves, Native American culture, and the natural world around her. Lori believed in kindness, respect, and the shared humanity of all people. She loved everyone she met, without judgment, and welcomed people from every walk of life with open arms.
She attended some college, pursuing studies in accounting, and worked for many years as a Restaurant Manager for the Denny’s Corporation. Lori was a dedicated and hardworking employee who genuinely enjoyed what she did. More than anything, she loved the people—coworkers, customers, and friends alike—who became part of her extended family.
Creativity was at the heart of who Lori was. One of her greatest joys was arts and crafts, especially making handmade items for others. From candles and dolls to greeting cards filled with love, Lori found happiness in creating joy for someone else. Giving was second nature to her, and her heart was as generous as it was kind.
Lori lovingly called her brother Chris her “little brother” and often signed her cards to him, “Love, Sis.” Their bond was unbreakable and remains a source of love and strength that will never fade.
Lori is survived by her brother, Chris Kinne, and his wife, Linda; her nephew Zachary; her nieces Amber (and her wife, Colleen), Sydney, Jaime (and her fiancé, Kyle Hill), Ashley Petit, along with many friends who were touched by her warmth, acceptance, and free spirit.
She was predeceased by her mother, Myrna Kinne, and her father, George Kinne.
Lori’s legacy of humor, strength, love, and courage will forever be an inspiration. She touched many lives in countless ways and was a true fighter to the very end. Lori will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
