

A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and wife, Lucille will be remembered for her sweet smile, devotion to her family and God, and her love of a good cup of coffee.
Lucille was born on September 23, 1932 in Frenchville, Maine to Alec and Catherine Bouchard. Growing up on a farm with siblings Irma, Ronald, Aldea, Reginald, Eudore, Joel, and Real, she graduated from Madawaska High School and shortly after, married John Grivois and moved to Hartford, CT to pursue employment opportunities. They bought a home in East Hartford where they raised their 4 children.
She married Joe Blasig after her husband and love of her life, John, died suddenly at the age of 50. Joe proved to be a wonderful companion and they enjoyed their life in Bloomfield watching the grandchildren grow.
She is survived by her son, James Grivois, his wife Lorna, and their children, Stephen Grivois, Kristin Curran, her husband Mike, and their girls Hayley and Mable; her daughter Doreen Clapis and husband Jerome, and their children Sean Clapis, his wife Paula, and their children, Alejandra, Felix, and Julia; Michael Clapis and his wife Emily; and Justin Clapis; her son Steven Grivois and ex-wife Janice and their sons Adam Grivois and wife Megan; and Joshua Grivois; and her youngest son, Daniel Grivois.
Calling Hours will be held on Thursday January 22, 2026 from 4PM to 7PM. A brief gathering will be held at the Funeral Home prior to church on Friday January 23, 2026 from 9AM to 9:30AM. Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday January 23, 2026 10AM at St. Mary Church 15 Maplewood Ave. East Hartford. Interment Service will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery, Hillside Ave. East Hartford.
