Lynn W. Christie

Lynn Woznicki Christie, 55, of East Hartford passed away on Feb. 8, 2014 at Touchpoints of Bloomfield after a brief illness surrounded by family members. She was born on Sept. 23, 1958 in Middletown, CT, to Mimi Cavanaugh and the late Albert Woznicki. Lynn previously resided in Wyalusing, PA, and San Diego, CA, before settling in East Hartford.

She attended Wyalusing Valley Jr.-Sr. High School, in Wyalusing, PA, and graduated from Manchester High School. She was married to the late Robert Christie and they had two sons, Travis and Cole Christie of Granby.

She is survived by her two sons; Travis Christie and his significant other Christine Zeiner of Norwich, and Cole Christie and his significant other Jackie Smith of Tariffville. She is also survived by her Mother, Mimi Cavanaugh and stepfather David Cavanaugh of Hernando, FL, sister Tracy Wozincki and her husband Brian Chapman of Manchester, sister Kim Byrnes of Tunkhannock, PA, brother Keith Wozincki and his wife Leslie of Herrickville, PA and sister Lisa Holovacko of Wilkes Barre, PA. She is also survived by her grandson Carter Smith and several nieces and nephews.

Lynn's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Touchpoints of Bloomfield staff for their wonderful care and to Life Choice Hospice for their dedication and care of Lynn in the last months of her life. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours to be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 1-3pm at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108, followed by a Memorial Service at 3pm at the funeral home.
