Mary T Hickson

Mary T. Hickson 83, lifelong resident of East Hartford passed away peacefully on Saturday (June 4, 2011) at Salmon Brook Center. Mary was born in Hartford on Aug. 13, 1927 daughter of the late Christopher and Anna (Dunlea) Hickson. She was employed by the State of Connecticut working as a secretary in the Governor's Office for over 30 years. Mary was a longtime communicant of St. Christopher Church and she loved traveling especially enjoying her trips to Ireland. She also enjoyed taking day trips to the casino. She is survived by her three loving sisters Ann and Philip T. Pease of Delaware, Peggy Hickson and Kay Hickson of East Hartford: and her four Pease nieces and nephews Cynthia and Stephen both of Maryland and Robert and Susan both of Colorado.

Relatives and friends are invited on Wednesday (June 8) at 8:45 a.m. to the Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Christopher Church, 538 Brewer St., with interment in St. Mary Cemetery, all in East Hartford. Visitation will be Tuesday (June 7) from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
