

Mollie Maxwell, 82, of East Hartford died Friday (December 14, 2012) peacefully with her family at her side after a brief illness. Born October 30th, 1930 in Carlisle, England, she was married in 1951 to David Maxwell also of Carlisle. The couple immigrated to the United States in 1955 and settled in East Hartford, Connecticut where they raised two sons. Her work career included various positions at Allen Mfg, Travelers, G. Fox and the Champlin Company. She is survived by her husband and companion of 61 years, David, who resides in East Hartford and their two sons, Craig Maxwell and wife Denise of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Neil Maxwell and wife Lisa of St. Thomas USVI, sister Nellie Aukstolis of East Hartford and her children Kazik, Wanda, Christopher and their families. She also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren, Tyler, Dana, Katelin, Mariko, Xia and Samraweit.
In addition to spending time with family and friends she also found great joy in her love of books, travel, dancing and knitting. Her warm smile will live in the memory of all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. at All Saints' Episcopal Church, 444 Hills St. East Hartford, CT.
