Mary Elizabeth Kendall

Mary “Bette” Begin Kendall, 79, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of Leslie C. Kendall, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. She was born May 3, 1932 in Whitefield NH to the late Joseph and Emelia (Fecteau) Begin.

She graduated So. Portland, ME High School. She moved to CT in 1950 and resided in Glastonbury for 58 years. Bette was employed by Dr. Sam Rentsch retiring in 1994. She was a parishioner of St. Augustine’s Church as well as active in the Village Glastonbury Auxiliary Second Chance Shop. She was a loving mother and a very special Nana.

In addition to her husband Leslie of 61 years, she will be dearly missed by her daughters, Joanne Mann and her husband Jack of Texas, Dyann Mackiewicz and her husband Wayne of CT, Nancy Kendall of CT; her sisters, Theresa Totman and her husband Kenneth of Hawaii, Mary Anne Morse of CT; her 3 grandchildren Jack, Kaitlynn and Cassidy Flanagan of Glastonbury; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 9 siblings.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday, March 17th, at 8:30am, at Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Tpk., Glastonbury followed by the funeral liturgy at 11:00am, at Saint Augustine Church, 55 Hopewell Rd., So.
