Maurice Francis Soucy

Maurice Francis Soucy, 78, a longtime resident of East Hartford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 7, 2012. Maurice was born on December 21, 1933, in Sainte Anne, New Brunswick Canada, a son of the late Hilaire and Helene (Mercier) Soucy. He was the loving husband of Theresa Noel (Lemay) Soucy until her passing in 2009. Maurice was employed as the head accountant for Connecticut Mutual. He proudly served in the United Stated Navy during the Korean War. He was a devoted husband and loving father and friend. Maurice is survived by his children: daughter Joann Montano of Coventry, daughter Linda Souza of Manchester, and son Alan Soucy of East Hartford. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandchildren: Todd Sinicrope, Melissa Renzoni, Amber and Haley Souza and Kyle P. Soucy, sisters Mary Viollette and Adeline Gagnon. In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Maurice is predeceased by his sister Theresa Lemay.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Service followed with Military Honors on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church, East Hartford, CT.
