Nancy A. Sanders

Nancy Ann (Bachman) Sanders, 69, of East Hartford, Conn, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 3, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Kenneth R. Sanders. She was born in Easton, PA on November 6, 1943 to the late Edwin C. and M. Elizabeth (Kohl) Bachman.

She is survived by her husband and their son Kenneth Sanders II, her son Robert M. Mazziotte and his children Robbie and Ashley, her sons William E. Kane and Matthew H. Kane, her daughter, Tamera A. (Hansen) Salisbury and her husband Robert and the apple of Nancy’s eye, her granddaughter Shannon Elizabeth Salisbury; her brother William E. Bachman and his wife June of Easton PA.

Nancy was a fun loving woman who excelled in her career at helping people. She worked as a Home Health Aid and at Mansfield Training School for over 15 years before retiring. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family at Bolton Lake, deep sea fishing and tag sailing. She loved animals and was a talented painter and cook, especially her baked macaroni and cheese. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Friends and family are welcome to gather on Wednesday May 8th, from 5 to 7pm for a period of visitation, at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford CT 06018. A brief funeral service will be held at 7pm. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family.
