Nereida Cardona

She was born on January 14th, 1938, in Dorado Puerto Rico to Ignacio and Georgina Concepcion. In 1965 she moved to Hartford Connecticut where she worked at Travelers Insurance Company for 25 years and also working at JC Penny Outlet for a number of years as a single mother providing a great life for her children. She was a loving mother of two. Devoted to family and friends, She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Remembered by her daughter Sally Wright, son-in-law Patrick Wright, son Javier Cardona with wife Kimmy Goff, along with her five grandchildren, Jordan and Shawn Wright, David Adams and Jacob and Alyssa Cardona. She also leaves behind her brother, William and her sister Basilisa and many dear friends and family.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday, June 20th from 5-8 pm at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave. East Hartford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st, at 10AM at St. Peter Church, 160 Main St., Hartford. Please meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
