

Philip Robert Bellingham, of East Hartford, CT, passed away peacefully on Oct 3, 2022. He was born on May 18, 1943 in Middletown, CT to Thomas and Frances Delia Bellingham. He graduated East Hartford High and then went on to Keene State College in New Hampshire. He worked as an engineer at Electric Boat on nuclear powered submarines and then on jet engines at Pratt & Whitney. He was proud to serve in the navy from 1966-1968. After retirement, he immensely enjoyed being a substitute teacher in the Glastonbury School system where he was fondly known as "Mr. B". He also enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing harmonica, and was a trumpet player "way back". He loved going down to the Connecticut Riverfront to watch the boats sail by. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus council 2533. He is survived by his loving wife Marjorie, and beloved daughter AnnMarie. He will also be dearly missed by his loving sister Irene Bellingham, his dear nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas Edward and Frances Delia Bellingham, beloved brother Thomas Bellingham and beloved sister Clara Bellingham Zack. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Church, 370 May Rd, East Hartford, Connecticut 06118. A Committal Service will occur Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 11:10 AM at Hillside Cemetery, Hillside Street, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108.
