Reinaldo Lopez Jr.

Born on July 4, 1984, in Hartford, Connecticut, Ray lived a life defined by love, hard work, faith, and deep devotion to his family.

Ray was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Linette Rivera, and a proud, loving father to his three daughters, Diamondlee L. Perez, Lyani R. Lopez, and Lucy-Ray Lopez. His family was the center of his world, and everything he did was driven by his desire to provide, protect, and love them unconditionally.

He was the cherished son of Carmen Santiago; a loving brother to Taina Lopez and Diana Fernandez; and shared a close bond with his nephew, Joel Carraquillo, whom he loved as a brother. Ray was also the devoted master of his beloved dog, Ezekiel. He was preceded in death by his father, Reinaldo Lopez.

A hard working entrepreneur, Ray was the proud owner of The Lawn Barber Maintenance LLC, where his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic earned him the respect of many. He took great pride in his work and in building something meaningful through honest labor.

Ray was also a proud member of Rydas 4 Righteousness Christian Motorcycle Ministry, where he was known as “Bro. Josiah.” After months of prospecting, he earned his fully patched vest and became a full-fledged member—an achievement he worked tirelessly for and deeply cherished. His faith, brotherhood, and commitment to righteousness were central to who he was.

Ray will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, generous heart, and unwavering love for his family. His passing leaves an immeasurable void in the lives of all who knew and loved him, but his legacy lives on through his children, his faith, and the countless lives he touched.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 12noon to 1PM at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT followed by a Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. In honor of Ray’s love for good food and camaraderie, casual dress is welcome.

Ray Lopez was a husband, father, son, brother, brother in Christ, and friend. He will never be forgotten.
