

Robert J. LeBlanc, 74 of East Hartford and Old Lyme died peacefully at Middlesex Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Hartford he was the son of the late Gerard and Florence LeBlanc. He is survived by his brothers Roland and his wife Florence of Old Lyme, John and his wife Irene of East Hartford and Richard and his wife Claire of Palm Desert, CA and a sister Doris wife of the late Albert Larose of Newington. Robert had many nieces and nephews who affectionately teased him from the time they were small to the present day. For many years he was employed by the Royal Typewriter Co. and the City of Hartford School System. For the past 45 years Robert spent his summers at White Sand Beach in Old Lyme. This was the place he loved the most. Robert was a devoted friend. His favorite pastime was getting up early and meeting his friends at the local coffee shop, walking to the beach, judging the annual swim races and sitting on his front porch waving to his many beach friends as they passed by. These were the memories he cherished.
Funeral Services will be on Monday (Aug. 2nd) at 10 a.m. where his Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Rose Church, 33 Church St., East Hartford, with burial to follow in the LeBlanc family plots in St. Mary Cemetery, East Hartford. Roberts family will be receiving callers on Sunday (Aug. 1st) from 3-6 p.m. at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury.
