Rosalind A. Roberto "Roz", of East Hartford, died on Feb. 25, 2014 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Roz was born in Philadelphia, PA., on December 14, 1929, a daughter to the late A. Charles and Margaret M. Roberto. Roz leaves behind to cherish her memory her two sisters; Marguerite Miller and Charlene A. Roberto, both of East Hartford, niece Annette Codianni and her husband John. She also leaves her beloved great niece Marianna and great nephew Nicholas, many cousins and dear friends. She will also be missed by Jean Rickabaugh, her partner for 50+ years with whom she made her home. Roz was a devoted Yankee and UConn women's basketball fan. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Protectors of Animals, PO Box 24, South Glastonbury, CT 06073. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours to be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 2-4pm at the Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford, CT 06108.
