Seraphine "Sally" V. Pelletier

Sally was 88 years old.

Sally was born at Staten Island Hospital, in New York City. Sally attended Harford High School, Hartford College for Women followed by graduation from University of Connecticut in Storrs.

Roger’s sister; Anita Pelletier was a friend of Sally’s at Hartford College and introduced Roger to Sally. After dating they were married in 1957 at the St Lawrence O'Toole Roman Catholic Church in Hartford, CT. Roger and Sally were married for 61 years and resided the entire time in their East Hartford home. While raising three children Sally worked full time at Travelers, Aetna and then the Hartford insurance group as a computer programmer. Sally retired in 2000. Following retirement, she volunteered at Hartford Hospital. Both Roger and Sally were parishioners at the St. Isaac Jogues Church for 50 years of which they were Eucharistic Ministers for 35 years. They received the Saint Joseph Archdiocesan Medal of Appreciation on April 17, 2016 for their years of service as Eucharistic Ministers. Sally also served as a lector in the church at the daily Mass and Sundays. Sally is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Luke and Lori Pelletier of Monson, MA. Her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Nancy Pelletier of Manchester, CT. Her daughter and son-in-law Paula and Tom Stack of Clinton, CT. Her six grandchildren; Grace Pelletier, Luke Pelletier Jr. and his wife Nessa, Sophia Pelletier, Julia Pelletier, Sara Stack and Abigayle Stack. She is preceded in death by Roger in May of 2018 and her sister, Maryanne Heacox.

Calling hours for Sally will be held Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108. A brief gathering prior to Church will occur Monday, February 12, 2024 from 8:30 AM to 9:20 AM, at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, February 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St Mary Church, 15 Maplewood Ave, East Hartford, Connecticut 06108.
