

Yvonne (Dumais) Labbe, 88, of Hartford, died Sunday November 11, 2012 at Glastonbury Health Care Center. She was born on December 18, 1923, in Eagle Lake, ME, daughter of the late Henry and Lilly (Hayward) Dumais. Yvonne was married on July 5, 1944 to her husband of 57 years Patrick until his passing in 2001. She moved to Connecticut in 1953 and lived in Hartford until 2002. Yvonne retired from The Hartford in December 1985 after twelve years of service and had worked at Weyerhaeuser, Curtis 1000, The Underwood and The Royal. She graduated from New Haven and Hartford Plus Business School in 1965. In Maine, she did domestic work and cooked at the campgrounds in Biddeford, ME. Yvonne enjoyed soap operas, cooking, listening to her country music collection, crochet, playing cards, dancing, Sundays with her family, and being a grandmother. Besides her husband Patrick, she was predeceased by two brothers, Hampy Dumais and Lucien Dumais, and two sisters, Irene Martin and Cecile Devoe. She is survived by her two children: Allen Labbe of East Hartford and Barbara Langdo of Farmington; four grandchildren, Kimberly Svoboda and her husband Josh of Coventry, James Langdo and his wife Joanne of Wethersfield, Michelle Ambrosio and her husband Joe of Unionville, and Shelly Orr and her husband Dana of Virginia; four great-grandchildren, Cody Ambrosio, Jesse Ambrosio, Brandon Langdo and Benjamin Svoboda; and many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 14th at 10AM in St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, 15 Maplewood Ave., East Hartford.
