

Aleta Dornbos was born to the late Frederick and Lillian (Lange) Frovog on September 18, 1932 in Ludington, MI and passed away on July 18, 2014 at the age of 81. She enjoyed playing bridge, decorating and sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She also loved to read and to write poetry. She was a graduate of MSU. Aleta was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Bell. Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Robert Dornbos; two daughters, Kim Dornbos and Sarah Earl; a son, Jeff (Katie) Dornbos; seven grandchildren, Rachael (Travis) Therrian, Sadie (Sam) Ames, Samantha Southworth, Madison Earl and Jake, Jared and Greg Dornbos; two great grandchildren, Andie Marie Ames and Benjamin Ames; and three sisters, Maxine (Howard) Palen, Beverly (Robert) Stevenson and Sonja (William) Chittenden.
There will be a Celebration of Life Reception at The Peoples Church, 200 W. Grand River Ave, East Lansing, MI, Monday, August 4, 2014, 2-4:30 pm. For those desiring, contributions may be made in memory of Aleta to The Peoples Church, Michigan State University or the Crohn's & Colitis Foundtion of America.
