Ann Marie Simons, age 96, a longtime resident of the Lansing, Michigan area, died on April 24, 2018. Ann was born on July 27, 1921 in Elizabeth, Pennsylvania to Andrew and Mary Vasco. She grew up in St. Johns, MI with her mother Mary, stepfather Frank Gorbenko, and sister Mary.
Ann requested a private memorial service.
Ann and her late husband Clare, celebrated 52 loving years of marriage. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandma. Her husband Clare M. Simons, sister Mary Moore, grandsons Luke Simons, Michael Brown and daughter-in-law Judith Donald Simons preceded her in death. She is survived by her two sons, Loren Simons (Lorraine Upton) of St. Johns, Rex Simons (Judy) of Mason and daughter Sherry Kohlmann (Thomas) of East Lansing, grandchildren Sarah Simons, Andrew Simons, Gregor Simons (Andrea), Melissa Zaksek (Donnie), Ryan Kohlmann (Kelly), Laura Kohlmann Preston (Tim) and seven great-grandchildren.
