Died March 24, 2012 at the age of 88. Arthur was born in Isabella County, MI on March 9, 1924 to Charles H. and Ida Mae (Riggles). He retired from the Michigan Department of Transportation in 1984. He was a volunteer with the American Red Cross, Lansing Chapter, for 15 years; Past Master of the Okemos Lodge #252 F&AM; Past Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Okemos Chapter #267 and member of the Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple, Saginaw, MI. He loved photography, traveling and wood working.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Louise (Anderson); daughters Margaret (Berney) Shaw, Dolores (Michael) O’Bryant and Nancy Lentz; eight grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-granddaughter; and brother, George A. Wiley.

Funeral and Masonic Lodge services will be held Wednesday, March 28, 10 AM at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 27, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos, MI. Contributions may be made to the Order of the Eastern Star, Okemos Chapter #267, Educational Scholarships, 2175 Hamilton Road, Okemos, MI 48864 in memory of Arthur.
