

Billee Vivian Lewis (nee Schlichte) died on January 15th at age 92. Billee was born in Pontiac, Michigan on May 2nd, 1924. She grew up in Flint where she spent most of her life. She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1942. She married Dr Thomas E. Lewis in 1951 and they had four daughters. She lost her husband in 2015 after 64 years of marriage.
In their later years, Billee and Thomas retired to Okemos, Michigan to be close to their daughter, Heidi DeCamp. Billee's other two daughters, Rebecca Lewis and Harriette ("Hank") Lewis live in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Billee leaves three daughters, two son-in-laws, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren all of whom to which she was very close. Billee was very much looking forward to seeing her "number two" daughter, Barbara Jane, in heaven. Billee also has two beloved sisters who survive her, Barbara Schlichte Dalby of Clarion, PA and Virginia Donaldson of Laguna Beach, CA. Billee had many hobbies and was an avid reader. She was much loved and will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life service will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing, MI. 48823.
