She was born on September 28, 1953 to Phyllis and Robert Kennedy.
Bonnie was a strong, independent, and selfless woman who would do anything for her family and friends. She enjoyed talking to strangers and complimenting people, it genuinely made her happy to see people smile. She had the sweetest soul and kindest heart, with a strong belief in equality for everyone.
Bonnie was a single mother who worked as a Correctional Officer to support her two daughters. Her experiences working at the prison were often difficult and challenging, but she never complained and was able to proudly retire after 25 years of service.
Bonnie loved the simple things in life like being near water, watching sunsets, listening to the Eagles music, visiting art galleries, and finding interesting and sometimes quirky pieces of art. She had a passion for animals and had several pets throughout the years who were very special to her. Mostly though, her favorite past time would to be at home sitting in her favorite chair, watching Criminal Minds, and enjoying a cigarette with a Diet Coke. During the holidays, she would make her special meatballs and potato salad for her family because she knew how much her family looked forward to it.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Amanda Ellis and Nicole Hill; and grandchildren, Damon Ellis ( Jaclyn Branton Ellis), Justin Williams, Michael Ellis, Amya Hill, and Jace Hill. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Kennedy.
Bonnie will be remembered for her heart of gold, if you knew her you would know there is no one quite like her. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. Fly high sweet angel.
