Carol Ann Child

Carol Child née Bittell went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 16, 2022 after a 12 year battle with vascular dementia. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Child, of East Lansing, Michigan. She is also survived by her son, David and her granddaughter Samantha, both of Gilbert, Arizona. She is also survived by her older brother, Roger and sister-in-law Susie of Evergreen, Colorado. Also, her niece, Leslie Bittell Haver, Leslie's husband Kyle, and their children Ruby and Sam. Also by her nephew, Andy Bittell, Andy's wife, Sarah, and their children, Lucy and Minnie. Also by Carol's younger brother, David Bittell and her sister-in-law, Teresa of Owosso, Michigan.

Carol was a wonderful friend to many. She worked for most of her adult life, first as a dental assistant to the late Dr. Melvin Lund of Owosso and then as an X-ray technician, primarily for the former Redi-Care South in Lansing. Carol earned an Associate's Degree in General Science from Lansing Community College in 1990, at the age of 47, majoring in Radiologic Technology. She was certified as a Radiologic Technician by the American Registry of Radiologic Technicians that same year. She was also a gifted amateur photographer and interior designer.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, March 26, at 1 p.m. at New Hope Church, 2170 E. Saginaw Highway in East Lansing.
