Char was born April 2, 1943 in Oak Park, Illinois to Victor and Bernadine (Jahnke) Repetny. She was married to her husband Mark for 49 delightful years. She was a wonderful mother to son Erik (Linnea) and daughter Debra (Joshua) Lauer and doting grandmother to six boys.
Char was a kind and generous person to all. She spent time working as a speech therapist and an artist, owning her own arts and crafts business for many years. She also volunteered for many organizations including being president of the Michigan State University Community Club.
Char was predeceased by her parents, her sister Barbara (Repetny) Bezjak, and her grandson Noah Lauer.
There will be a memorial visitation with the family at Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 East Grand River, East Lansing, MI 48823, on Saturday, October 14, 2017, Noon to 3 p.m.
