

Clifford Anthony Kleier, 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 11, 2016 in East Lansing, Michigan. He was born June 13, 1920 in Louisville, Kentucky. Cliff was a devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, and a long time parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He was a man of great faith and integrity, and his gentle smile was appreciated by all who were fortunate enough to know him. He was preceded in death by parents Henry and Amelia Kleier and his loving wife of 62 years, Colleen Mary Kleier. He is survived by his children; Stephen (Monica) Kleier, Mary Jo (Rudy) Hirt, Sue (Wayne Phillips) Ellithorpe, Carol (Robert) Puckett, his grandchildren Peter and Benjamin Kleier, Kevin and Brian Hirt, Sarah Ellithorpe, and step-grandchild Justin Puckett. The family would like to thank the loving staff and residents of The Marquette for their excellent care and kindness. We offer our gratitude to the “Red Coats” who have offered their friendship and companionship. The nurses and aids of Great Lakes Caring Hospice we invaluable for caring for our Dad during this difficult time. Services will be private.
