

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Diane Lucille Hunt Alling age 85 on January 8, 2025. Diane was born in Flint Michigan on January 10, 1939. She was a long-time resident of Haslett Michigan. She married the love of her life Terry Alling on August 3, 1957, and they had 58 happy years together.
Diane was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many capacities including many years as a genealogy specialist.
She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She especially loved being a grandma, and her grandchildren often reminisce about the fun they had with her. She was a wonderful example of love and service to all.
She and Terry loved to go camping and went to the same campgrounds every year to see the friends they had made. Diane enjoyed reading, crocheting and other crafts. She was an avid collector of Beanie Babies. In her later years she loved doing jigsaw puzzles, word searches and coloring.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Delmer and Lucille Hunt, her beloved husband Terry Alling, her great granddaughter Winter Rose Butler and her sisters Gwendolyn Hunt and Sue Ellington. Also preceded in death by sister-in-law Nancy Stander and brothers-in-law Duane Alling, Joe Bartley and Charles Stander.
She is survived by son, Thomas (VeLoie) Alling; daughters, Tyanne (Jeffrey) Agle and Christine (Patrick) Butler; grandchildren, Garren (Kim) Agle, Seth (Katie) Alling, Kayla Pagano, Josh (Shaylee) Alling, Patricia Kohler, Julia and Jessica Butler; great grandchildren, Brandt Stevens, Ean and Cooper Agle, Tommy, Marc, Kami and Levi Alling, Paul (PJ) Pagano, Erik Kohler, and Philip, Oliver, and Peter Alling.
Also survived by her sister, Joanne (Rob) Lewis and sisters-in-law, Vicki Bartley and Florence Alling
There will be a viewing from 4-7pm on Monday January 13, 2025, at Gorsline Runciman, 1730 E Grand River Ave, East Lansing, MI. The funeral will be held at 11am January 14, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 431 East Saginaw St, East Lansing, MI with a family viewing an hour prior.
