He joined his loving wife of 54 years, Ruth “Angel” on December 11, 2015 at the age of 83. Donald was born May 6, 1932 in Millett, MI to Roy and Vera (Stemler) Eastman. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a resident of East Lansing for 60 years and retired from Lundberg Screw Products after 30 years. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and ride motorcycles. Any outdoor activity brought him joy. He was very good at morel mushrooming. He enjoyed singing (Karaoke) and dancing and was known as the “Dancing Man”. He and his wife always opened their home to anyone in need.
He is survived by his sons, Don (Diane), Dave (Janine), Steve (Billie) and Nick (Catherine); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Norm (Carol) Eastman and sisters, Jean (Bob) DeLong and Mary Jo (Curt) Narragon and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, December 17, 2015, 12:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing, MI 48823. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment in Rose Cemetery, Bath, Michigan.
