Age 66, passed away on August 16, 2017. George was born May 4, 1951 in Muskegon, MI to Maurice Robert and Yvonne (Schimke) Baker, Sr. He was a ’69 graduate of Haslett High School and a night stocker at Meijer for 37 years. George enjoyed coin collecting, “collector hunter” and loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Baker.

Surviving are four sons, George (Dawn Keller) Baker, Jr., James (Jessica Swartz) Baker, Jack Baker and Joseph Baker; six grandchildren, Daniel Baker, Kaci Baker, Morgan Keller, Lucia Baker, Braelyn Baker and McKinnley Baker and one brother, Maurice Baker, Jr.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 23, 11:00 a.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 East Grand River Avenue, East Lansing. Interment will be at East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos, MI. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 22, 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
