Howard graduated from St. Mary's High School in Lansing. He was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. Howard spent most of his career at Capitol Automotive Supply except for two years when he was the service manager at Al Mikulich Pontiac. He also taught part time at Lansing Community College for ten years. Even though Howard was multi-talented, he especially loved cars. There wasn't a car that he couldn't fix!
Howard was preceded in death by his brothers; Father Benjamin, Clem, Robert, Tom, and his sister Dorothy. Surviving Howard are his wife of 66 years, Marie, and his sister, Irene Eisele of Paris, TX. He is also survived by his four children, Joanne (Don) Slanina of Okemos, Lorraine (Stanley) Milner of Edmonton, Canada, Raymond (Marie) Ginther of New York, and Kathryn (Gary) Stein of East Lansing; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
