James Robert Donahue

As a husband and father he loved his family unconditionally and as a family, we have all benefited from his love and the many wonderful examples he set.

Born September 17, 1943 to Richard and Jeanne Donahue, Jim attended Lansing area schools and served in the U.S. Army before graduating from Central Michigan University.

Passionate about the game of golf, he strove to better amateur golf in the Lansing area. He was both founding member and former President of the Greater Lansing Amateur Golf Association.

Jim was a student of the great Ben Hogan, loved the Spartans, Tigers and Red Wings and never gave up on the Lions.

He is survived by his wife Janet, his children Brian (Jilian) of California, Michael (Heather) of California, Jonathan (Tami) of West Virginia and Catherine (Jason) of Massachusetts. Grandchildren Casielle, Addison, Galadriel, Gavin and Thadeus Donahue, Genevieve DiChiara and Johnny Davis.
