Jerome "Jerry" Pung

East Lansing, Michigan

Born on March 6, 1925 in Fowler to Albert and Dorothy Pung, passed away January 16,2012 at the age of 86. Jerry was a well known Insurance agent in Lansing. He loved MSU sports, golf, the Detroit Tigers, the GOP, God and his family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Dr. Elba Molina Pung. Jerry is survived by his children Anita (Bill) Wendell, James Pung; his grandchildren Lindsay (Richie) White, Jennifer (Sean) Callander and Brent Wendell; great grandchildren, Ethan White, Chase White and Logan Callander; brothers, Ronald (Elaine) and Donald (Bea) Pung; sister, Virginia Eisler, along with several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 20, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 955 Alton Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823 with the Rev. Mark Inglot, officiating. The Rite of Committal will be held Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave, East Lansing on Thursday from 6-8 p.m., where the Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m.
