Age 30, died peacefully on August 31, 2014 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan, in Lansing, following a courageous battle with Triple Negative breast cancer.
Following graduation from Haslett High School in 2001, she received her cosmetology license. She continued her education at State College of Florida and the American Institute for CPCU, earning her Associates in general insurance designation. She was currently employed with Orchid Orthopedic Solutions, Holt, MI, who provided her with outstanding support and loyalty during her illness.
She is predeceased by her uncle, Phillip Smith; grandparents Roy and Marion Senn; grandfather, Ralph Morrow; and mother-in-law, Martha Quintero.
She is survived by her young son, Jonathan Quintero; mother Janeice (Paul) Morrow; father, William Senn; sister, Karah Senn; grandparents, Ray and Elaine Smith of Houghton Lake, MI; grandmother, Sally Morrow of Haslett and loyal companion, Shiloh, her Sheltie. Also surviving are many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that provided her tremendous support through her 16-month battle with cancer.
A special “thank you” to TV Anchor Chivon Kloepfer (WLNS) and Susan G. Komen Foundation for the episodes documenting Krysti’s journey to bring awareness to the aggressive nature of Triple Negative Breast Cancer in young women. It was Krysti’s wish to make a difference.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, September 4, 2014, 1:00 pm at Haslett Commuity Church, 1427 Haslett Road, Haslett, MI with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Memory Gardens, Okemos. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 am-1:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
