In Loving memory of Leo
April 2025
In the heart of Mid Michigan, a soul took flight,
A man named Leo, who walked in the light.
From St. Johns to Lansing, his journey was wide,
With Jean by his side, his life full of pride.
For forty strong years, they danced hand in hand,
Through laughter and trials, together they'd stand.
Four children they raised - Amie, Ronda, Brian and Rich,
With love as their compass, their hearts never switched.
A brother to many - nine siblings in all,
He answered each need, every prayer, every call.
A helper by nature, a friend tried and true,
If you were moving, he'd be there with you.
He worked with is hands, with grit and with grace,
At Molded Plastics, he carved out his place.
Fiberglass dust and the sweat of the day,
Were badges of honor he wore on his way.
He loved to hunt, he loved to fish,
Found peace in the woods, where he'd ponder and wish.
He loved to dance, let the mucic unfold,
With joy in his step and a spirit so bold.
He loved God deeply, served with delight,
Worked for the church, walked by faith not by sight,
With eables and wolves on his mind and in view,
He saw strength and freedom in all that they do.
Seventeen grandkids he proudly embraced,
Eight great-grandkids with laughter he chased.
And on great-great on the way - a gift yet to see,
A new brach to bloom on his family tree.
He worked hard in life, he loved without end,
A father, a husband, a brother, a friend.
Now heaven has gained a soul brave and bright,
And we hold his memory close in the light.
So here's to you, Leo, your race has been run,
Your work here is finished, your rest has begun.
May the eagles soar higher, the wolves howl your name,
For your legacy lives on, in love's holy flame.
