He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ernie, sister Naomi (Sherman), his loving wife Carol (Sherman), son Larry, daughter-in-law Jane (Bancroft).
He is survived by daughters Kim Sims, and Nola McNeil (Greg). Grandchildren Aaron (Tina) Sawdy, Jessica (Don) Scofield, Leah (Philip) Latini, Matthew (Devin) McNeil and Bethany (Greg) Zelski. Great-grandchildren Kyle and Cody Sawdy, Calvin and Jacob Scofield, Amelia and Isaiah Latini and Andi and Charlee Zelski. Sister Joann Carrier and many beloved nieces and nephews.
LG served in the Navy during World War II on the USS Thatcher in the Pacific Theater. Then in the Naval Reserve for several years.
