

Okemos, Michigan
Born December 2, 1919 in Jackson, Michigan to Merton and Fannie Shoesmith, passed away March 3, 2013 at the age of 93. Loren served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a resident of Okemos since 1967. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okemos and a lifetime member of Okemos Masonic Lodge #252 F & AM and Eastern Star #267.
Loren was preceded in death by his wife, Ueillia in 2006 and his parents. Surviving are his 2 daughters, Joan (Roger) Graf and Yvonne (Don) O’Hara; 5 grandchildren, Aaron (Kelly) Graf, Ethan (Stephen Lott) Graf, Anna (Brian) Schroeder, Ryan O’Hara and Heather (James) Hanian; 5 great-grandchildren, Colin, Dylan and Riley Graf and Kevin and Declan Hanian.
Funeral Services with military honors will be held Tuesday, March 19, 11:00 a.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 1730 E. Grand River Ave., East Lansing with Pastor Joseph Dabrowski officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leslie. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, March 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Masonic service will take place at 8:00 p.m.
